Stop smoking hypnosis is the most effective way to give up smoking. Here’s the latest research.
If you’re a smoker, you’ll know the risks to your health. If that’s not enough to stop you smoking, its probably either your belief that you are addicted, or you belief that it will be too hard to stop smoking which is keeping the habit in place.
Your beliefs are in your power to change.
Stop Smoking Hypnosis Ealing
The Stop Smoking Hypnosis programme I use is a highly effective way to stop smoking. I use Cognitive Hypnotherapy which blends Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and NLP, aswell as some principles from the Rob Kelly Stop Smoking Easily Programmes which I have also been trained in.
You will learn to modify your thinking and behaviour about stopping smoking by re-training the unconscious part of your mind. Helping you to become a non-smoker, no longer motivated to smoke. You will also learn how to manage any cravings and we will resolve your underlying beliefs such as “I am addicted”, “I smoke to relax”, “I smoke to fit in”, “Its too difficult to quit”.
Although I am not going to just wave a majic wand, you will need to put in some effort, clients are often surprised at the positive effects in other areas of their lives as a result of resolving some of their beliefs and emotions around smoking.
“Jo helped me to break a 30 year smoking habit. The download which she sent me after, was really helpful and encouraging. I would certainly recommend Jo – she helped me to achieve a real breakthrough.”
What triggers my need to smoke?
The desire to smoke can be automatically triggered by environmental factors such as after dinner, in the pub, at work; by internal triggers, the feeling you get when you begin to crave a cigarette, as well as by emotional triggers such as stress release or relaxation.
Nicotine and the other chemicals in cigarettes cause a release of adrenaline into the blood stream along with an increase in your blood pressure and pulse rate. Your unconscious mind has wrongly associated the short term rush from smoking with something good. You begin to associate smoking with good times and relief in bad times, and your mind now thinks that nicotine can relieve feelings like fear, anxiety and stress, but, the chemicals in cigarettes actually leads you to feel anxious and on edge much of the time.
Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy techniques we can begin to break these triggers down which then means you can reduce your desire for cigarettes and have less cravings once you have stopped.
I’ve stopped smoking before
For some, smoking is just a habit, but for many it can be more than this and if you’ve managed to quit before that probably suggests that there is an underlying trigger, belief or emotion connected to your smoking which has made it difficult for you to quit completely and for good. All smokers smoke, but each has their own reasons and beliefs about what smoking does for them and why they can’t give up smoking.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy will help you to address these.
Can Stop Smoking Hypnosis help everyone?
I can not just wave a magic wand and your habit will disappear. If any kind of therapy was “guaranteed” how much effort would you put in? Your commitment and determination is needed to become an non-smoker not an ex-smoker and the key to stop smoking is within you. If you are really committed to quit and are prepared to take the responsibility and put in the maximum of effort, then using the techniques in this stop smoking programme you will have a fantastic chance to give up smoking for good.
How many sessions do I need to Stop Smoking?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a bespoke therapy tailored to you. I don’t just read a stop smoking script. As smoking is usually linked to some other area of anxiety or stress in your life I usually only see clients to help them stop smoking as part of a wider lifestyle programme.
Your triggers, why you smoke, and your beliefs about cigarettes as well as your emotions related to your smoking habit will be different from anyone else’s and your motivation to quit will also be unique to you.
A single hypnosis stop smoking hypnosis session is possible for some but will not work for everyone. If you don’t deal with any underlying issues you may stop smoking briefly, then start again within a couple of months, even a few days.
“Since undertaking hypnotherapy with Jo, I haven’t even considered smoking. I feel confident and positive about not needing cigarettes anymore. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed so the whole thing seemed really easy.”
