What triggers my need to smoke?
The desire to smoke can be automatically triggered by environmental factors such as after dinner, in the pub, at work; by internal triggers, the feeling you get when you begin to crave a cigarette, as well as by emotional triggers such as stress release or relaxation.
Nicotine and the other chemicals in cigarettes cause a release of adrenaline into the blood stream along with an increase in your blood pressure and pulse rate. Your unconscious mind has wrongly associated the short term rush from smoking with something good. You begin to associate smoking with good times and relief in bad times, and your mind now thinks that nicotine can relieve feelings like fear, anxiety and stress, but, the chemicals in cigarettes actually leads you to feel anxious and on edge much of the time.
Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy techniques we can begin to break these triggers down which then means you can reduce your desire for cigarettes and have less cravings once you have stopped.

How many sessions do I need to Stop Smoking?

Your triggers, why you smoke, and your beliefs about cigarettes as well as your emotions related to your smoking habit will be different from anyone else’s and your motivation to quit will also be unique to you.
A single hypnosis stop smoking hypnosis session is possible for some but will not work for everyone. If you don’t deal with any underlying issues you may stop smoking briefly, then start again within a couple of months, even a few days.
