What is Insomnia?

You may begin getting anxiety attacks in the course of the night without understanding the trigger; however, what you are probably experiencing is just your mind absorbing the stresses around you at a subconscious level.
Becoming aware of this problem is not always helpful either. When we worry about it happening which feeds the situation and actually makes it worse. Without the ability to control these symptoms, you may become worried, exhausted and depressed.

This means that, the symptoms may continue regardless of your efforts as the your subconscious mind hasn’t been dealt with them.

Sleep researchers demonstrated that hypnosis can have a positive impact on the quality of sleep for some people. To objectively measure sleep, electrical brain activity was recorded using an electroencephalogram (EEG). They were looking for slow-wave sleep patterns which are very difficult to control voluntarily.
70 women took part in the study. They came to the sleep laboratory for a 90-minute midday nap. Before falling asleep they listened to a special 13-minute slow-wave sleep hypnosis tape. They proved that suggestible women experienced 80 percent more slow-wave sleep after listening to the hypnosis tape compared with sleep after listening to a neutral text tape. In parallel, time spent awake was reduced by around one-third. Study at Universities of Zurich and Fribourg.
